Create Jobs and Send Proofs

Once you have a sales order, it’s time to get the work into production. This lesson covers creating jobs, tracking them on the job board, and sending proofs for online approval.

Create jobs from a sales order

  1. Open the sales order and click Create Jobs.
  2. Group several line items into one job with Create Combined Job, or create a separate job for each item.
  3. Choose a starting status. Many shops start jobs in Design. The due date carries over from the sales order.

Track work on the job board

Each column on the job board is a stage in your workflow. Drag job cards from stage to stage, or update the status from inside the job. Each job can also hold tasks, assets like artwork files, and a bill of materials.

Send proofs for approval

  1. In the job, click Add Files to upload your artwork, then save.
  2. Send the proof and choose the reviewer. shopVOX records who received it and when.
  3. Your customer gets an email link to approve the proof or request changes, after answering any approval questions you’ve set up.
  4. You’re notified when a proof is approved or rejected. If a customer approves in person at your shop, you can record that too.
