Create a Quote

Now you’re ready to take an order. This lesson shows you how to build a quote in shopVOX Express using several kinds of line items, then email it to your customer.

Start the quote

  1. Click the shortcut button, select New Quote, and search for your customer.
  2. Click Show all fields, add a quote title, and set a next contact date as your follow-up reminder.
  3. Click Save and add first line item.

Line items covered in this lesson

  • Sized products: enter width and height. If the price isn’t what you expected, click into the price field and change it.
  • Apparel: choose the catalog and color, give the item a customer-friendly name, and enter quantities in the size grid. Bulk fields let you adjust cost and markup across all sizes at once.
  • Custom items: leave the product blank, add a description, quantity and unit price, then click the green check mark to save.
  • Grid products: pick from preset variations and the price fills in automatically.

Roll up items and send the quote

  • Roll one line item into another, like a design package inside the item it belongs to. Items only roll upward, so reorder them first if needed.
  • Click Email PDF, choose the contact and email template, and pick a standard quote or a β€œquote no total,” which hides the subtotal so you can present options.
  • Click the green send button.
