Convert a Sales Order to an Invoice

When the work is done, convert the sales order to an invoice so it’s ready for accounts receivable and payment. This final lesson shows two common ways to do it and what happens to any jobs that are still open.

Convert to an invoice

1. Find your orders from the dashboard activity widgets or the sales order list.
2. Open the sales order, click More Actions > Convert to Invoice, and review the confirmation.
3. The order becomes an invoice with a new invoice number, ready for accounts receivable tracking and collecting any remaining balance.

What happens to open jobs

• Marking a job completed removes it from the job board, but its production history is kept.
• If jobs are still active when you convert, shopVOX asks whether to complete them. Completed jobs leave the job board, and their history stays on the record.
